For
those who are kung fu movie fan like me, this is one of the DVD you must
not miss. The fighting scene in this movie is awesome and the story line
is also very good. The Cantonese 5.1 sound track is pretty good but the
region 2 version released by Hong Kong Legends is better. Of all the kung
fu movie I watched so far, this is still one of my most favorite and I
have watched it over and over again and never feel bore. This is one of
the best movie ever directed by Yuen Woo-Ping. Check out the reviews at

& Bullets Hong Kong DVD Review or

I
am not sure why this movie is not widely advertised - I didn't even know
this movie exist until my friend lent it to me. After watching it, I was
very impressed with the story line, the unique gun fight scenes that I
never seen before as well as the crisp picture and audio. This movie is
awesome and the DVD disc is a must own for all movie fan. Check out the
review here. |

Here is another excellent DVD
with really good sound quality. This is one of my most favorite demo disc
that I always use to impress my friends and show off my system. Try out
chapter 1 on the battle scene of Ca Lu and chapter 4 on Embassy Siege.
This two chapters have excellent separation sound especially in surround
effect. In chapter 4, rescue mission at the Embassy, if you can hear all
the throwing rocks flying from your front speakers to the left and right
rear speakers, you should be proud of your System. Trust me! You will
be impressed by the audio quality of this disc! If not, drop me an e-mail
and prove me wrong.
Well!
What are you waiting for? Invite your friends to your house now and make
yourself proud.

Still
remember the old good days Kungfu movies with no special effects used?
You missed them? Well, good news! Hong Kong legend Lau KarLeung has recently
directed "Drunken Monkey" utilizing no special effects at all
- truely kungfu only! The fighting scenes are spectacular and was done
to utmost perfection. Check it out
here. |

This is another Liu Chia Liang earlier classic movie which I truly enjoyed! The fighting scenes is just awesome and this is what current Kung Fu movies are lacking. You will be amazed how good the picture quality is for an old movie and best of all, it is in anamorphic print. As for the sound, it is 5.1 channels for both Mandarin and Cantonese versions but don't expect too much from it though. Check out the review here or click on the picture above for another. |

This time
I am going to recommend a new 20 episodes TV series titled "Praying Mantis
kung fu". To me, this is a pretty good show and the fight scenes are rather
impressive too. For kung fu fans, I am sure you will enjoy it. Check it out

This TV Series is very well directed and
the performance by most of the actors and actresses are pretty good as well.
The DVD discs are in Dolby Digital 5.1 but unfortunately, it has virtually
zero surround effect. However, over all, the audio quality doesn't
disappoint though. As for the video, it is inconsistence as far as the
quality is concerned and this is rather is disappointing. Anyway, this is
still one of the best DVD TV Series I have watched and strongly recommended
it. Click

This fantastic martial arts epic was director
Lau Kar Leung's master piece and probably one of his best. The martial arts
is simply stunning and the ending battle scene with the Yang family
technique is something most people can never forget - I won't!. If you are a
kung fu fan like me, don't miss this or you will REGRET - trust me! This is
an awesome martial arts classic and must be added to your collection. Click

This time I would like to recommend the digital
remaster swordsman DVD released by Fortune Star. The sound quality in DTS is
quite dynamic in many scenes and definitely enhance watching pleasure. The
cover of the DVD is well designed and I like it. Picture is reasonably good
as well. For those who like this movie, you might want to consider adding
this disc to your collection. Chick

Like "HERO",
this DVD is another break through as far as the sound quality is concerned.
Both Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS tracks sounded wonderful and full of life.
The bass, treble and directional effect are well perfected. I have one word
to describe about this DVD - Superb! You can read the review

This is probably one of the best
Lau Kar Leung directed kung fu movies I ever watched. I
really enjoy the fights choreographed by him. There is so much to describe
about how good this movie is. Therefore, I will not bored you with my story
but let you find out yourself - get a copy and watch it now. You may find

I just
watched this DVD in DTS Cantonese soundtrack - the sound quality is
simply stunning! This is a soundtrack that wows the viewer from the opening
right until the end credits. Bass is handled superbly, with an excellent
feeling of impact during the action. The amount of surround usage is
fantastic! This DVD quickly became one of my favorite examples for surround
sound in recent memory. Just use this DVD to demo to your friends and they
will be impressed! Trust me!

This time, I am going to recommended a movie that is truly for the whole
family - it is called "Racing Stripes".
This
movie is very entertaining and funny. Evening though this DVD does not have
outstanding audio or video, the movie itself is definitely worth adding to
your collection. I watched this movie twice and still enjoy it. Move details

Iron Monkey has always been my most favorite movie but
unfortunately, the audio quality of all the earlier DVDs I bought was a
disappointment. Recently, Fortune Star released a DTS version and as usual,
I bought a copy to try it out. To my surprise, the sound is rather dynamic,
dialogue is clear with good directional effects - I am happy with it! For
the picture, it is not as sharp as the Hong Kong Legends released copy which
of course is a pity. Click
